Volunteer to Help Combat Marijuana Abuse

There is an increasing number of newborns in Harlem who test positive for THC. The PILLARS will disseminate 6,000 door-hangers within three public housing developments in the Central and West Harlem communities.

During this time, we will promote the “Love yourself, love your baby” campaign to combat marijuana abuse. It is an eight-week workshop that will offer moms a support group, and an opportunity to engage in healthy options to reduce stress. The women can participate in yoga, acupuncture, meditation and pilates classes; and then the support group will focus on them gaining self-awareness and adopting healthy behaviors through group discussions.
